Just thirty minutes by seaplane from Male, Dhuni Kolhu in the Baa Atoll is widely acclaimed as one of the most beautiful islands in the Maldives, while its Coco Palm resort has won multiple awards for everything from environmentally conscious design and operations, through to best beach, diving and snorkelling. While manta ray, dolphin, and shark are on offer to divers, the water-sports are exceptional and land-based activities include tennis, volleyball, badminton, line fishing and visits to the local village or the resort's spa.

The luxurious villas are furnished with king size or four-poster beds, hand crafted wood and rattan furniture, most with private splash pools, sunken or spa baths, private gardens or over water sunbathing decks. Beach and Deluxe Villas are set within lush vegetation and view of the beach. Lagoon Villas and Lagoon Place Suites have direct access to the sea from the villa.

In-villa dining is popular, as are picnics, or have a candlelit meal or drink at one of the resort's excellent international restaurants or bars. To maintain the romantic, relaxed mood, there are no TVs but you can catch a movie projected onto a beached dhoni sail.

Dhuni Kolhu is the place to be - whether you want activity, relaxation or romance... or a mixture of all three.
